!Obituary -" Nelson Hebert died at the Hubbard Memorial Hospital Wednesday
morning, Oct. 12, 1921, after an illness of about one week. He was in
apparent good health until Monday October 3, while serving customers at his
restraurant he was stricken with uraemie poisoning and was taken at once to
the hospital. For a time it was thought that he would recover, but on
Saturaday noght he took a paralytic stroke and never regained consciousness.
Deceased was born in Montreal, Canada, April 13, 1855. In 1873 he was united
with Adelaide Lagassa, who proceded him in death. To this union 13 children were born,
one of whom died in infancy. Those who survived are: Mrs. Frank Harrison, of Caseville;
Mrs. John Champagne, of Kinde; Mrs Will Patent, Port Hope; Mrs. Martin DeVine, Caseville;
Mrs. Frank Lenaway, Port Huron; Mrs Willard Brown, Royal Oak; Mrs. Clyde Ahearn, Kinde;
Mrs John Ott, Saginaw; Mrs Alex McCloud, Caseville; Sr. Evelina, of St. Joseph's Academy,
Adrian; Nelson of Caseville; and Edward of Detroit.
In 1914 he was again married to Mrs Emery Hebert, who also preceeded him in
death and in 1918 to Mrs. Mary A. Johnson, who survives.
Mr. Nelson was a kind and loving husband and father, an honest and upright
neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held Friday morning from Sacred Heart church, of which
he was a member and laid to rest in Colfax cemetery."
