Ernest Henry Guyett, 85, Canton, died Saturday at 8pm, June 18, 1966 at the A.B. Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg, where he had been a patient for one week.
Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday at the E. E. O'Leary Funeral Home at 2pm, the Rev. Jack Wells, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, Canton, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairvew Cemetery, Canton.
He was born at Canton, December 31, 1880, a son of Henry and Josephine Martin Guyette. He attended local schools. On April 3, 1911, he married Pearl Williams of DeKalb Junction, with the Rev. Walker officiating. The couple resided at Canton, where Mr. Guyett was employed by the State Highway Department. He retired in 1952 due to ill health.
Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Mildred) Todd, Canton; a son, Harold, Hinndsville, Ga., seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Leland, Canton, a sister, Mrs. Gladys Moberburger, Massilon, Ohio.
