Notes for Michael Eugene Britain

Michael Eugene Britain, 62, died October 25, 2011 at Kennewick General Hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 7, 1949 in Pendleton, OR, to Gene and Betty Britain. Mike graduated from Pendleton High School and attended Blue Mountain Community College. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he reached the rank of Sergeant. Mike worked as a plumber for more than 25 years. He took great pride in his union, Local 598, where he made many wonderful friends. Mike retired in May of 2010. Mike loved outdoor activities including fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed sports, especially baseball, which he played for much of his life. Mike is survived by his sister Donna Arroyo of Pendleton, OR; brother Jerry Britain of Boise, ID; daughter and son-in-law Sarah and James Szatkowski, son and daughter-in-law Eric and Karri Britain, and granddaughter Lauren Britain, all of Tri-Cities. Services will be held Saturday, November 5, at the Elks Lodge of Kennewick, 15 S. Colorado . The remembrance will begin at 2:00 pm, and be followed by a reception at the same location.
