His parents were Frank and Anna (Bashor) Britain. He served in the U.S. Army. Worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years and was a member of the Eagles and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Married Grace Wilson June 19, 1950 in Pendleton and was the father of 4 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Note: Cremains buried with U. Alonzo Wilson. Catherine Ann Gibson's cremains are buried beside him
