He was a retired employee of the old International Harvester Co.; a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Mount Holly United Methodist Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars Churchill Downs Post, Fairdale Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Kosair Shrine Temple. Survivors: a brother, Eli D. Farmer Sr.; a sister, Noretta Kleinhelter; and a friend, Mary Kennedy, who cared for him. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, Arch L. Heady Southern, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Burial: church cemetery. Visitation: 2-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial gifts: Hospice of Louisville.
