Birth: 1840 Bryantsville Lawrence County Indiana, USA Death: Aug. 5, 1881 Bryantsville Lawrence County Indiana, USA Levi was born to Joshua Barnes and his wife, Sarah Murphy. He married Anna Gerkin December 15, 1866 in Lawrence County. They had seven children, five who lived to adulthood.They were; Charlie, Howard, Mary Jane, Alexander "Alec", twins, boy and girl who died at birth, and Homer. Levi died of Tuberculosis when his children were quite young.
