Margaret E. Cowger
Margaret was the second child of eight, born to James and Nellie Brown on January 16, 1913. Passed away May 21, 2001. She and her husband owned Cowger’s Bakery in the Proctor District. She managed the bakery in the Tacoma Mall Bon for many years. Most recently, she worked at the Tacoma Costco doing product demos. Preceded in death by Glenn L. Cowger in 1963, sisters Ruth Clements and Beulah Farnsworth, brothers Glenn Brown, Dale Brown and Cole Brown. Margaret is survived by daughter Marguerite Hill (husband Ron Brown); granddaughters Christine Money (Rod) and Caroline Fox (Eric); great-grandson Joshua Money, “He’s such a nice boy”; sister Mabel Larson and brother Lloyd Brown (Clare). She will always be in our hears as we work in the garden that she loved so. Services will be held on Thurs., May 24, 2001 at 11:00 AM at New Tacoma Cemetery in the Evergreen Chapel.
