Charlotte Goodwin, was born in Illinois and crossed the plains to Washington when she was 12 years old. There is no record of when my great grandfather, Jacob Culler, migrated to the Washington Territory from Pennsylvania. I have not found any record of when or how Jacob made the trip. Jacob and Charlotte were married and made their home near Walla Walla in the Washington Territory. They had three sons. My grandfather, James, was the eldest. Jacob died Jan. 26. 1885 at the age of 53 years and 5 months. He was survived by Charlotte and the three boys. My grandfather was 8 years old when his father died. Charlotte married Silas H. Timmons on the 11 November 1885. My grand mother, Nellie Pearl Davis, moved to the area from Minnesota. Grandpa and Grandma were married July 23, 1899 in Walla Walla and raised my father and his two sisters in the area.
After the death of her husband, Jacob L. Culler, Charlotta remarried a man by the name of Silas A. Timmons.
In the 1892 Washington State territorial census, S. A. & Lottie Timmons were living in Walla Walla County, Washington. He was listed as, S. A.
