!NOTES:
Clara Amelia Rutherford, was born June 4, 1843 in Little Rock,
a daughter of Mary Ann (Amelia) Lewis and Archibald Hamilton
Rutherford. A portrait was painted of her by the man who painted "The
Arkansas Traveler" - Edward Payson Washburn. Since the painter was a
friend of her father's family, he also painted a portrait of her mother
Amelia. Clara married J. T. Annis and she died in Texas. The portrait
of Amelia was passed down to her grand-daughter.
