Notes for John Stillwell

John Stillwell, born January 14, 1832, son of Dorcus Pringle
and John Stillwell. This shows he was born two weeks after his father
died. He is found on records only two more times. In 1838 a legal
document given after remarks about his father, he was bound to Benjamin
L. Haller as an apprentice to learn farming. In the U. S census of 1850
for Arkansas County he is shown as a farm laborer with the window mary
Pertuis and her 22 year old son Peter Pertuis.
