Evelyn M. Pruett Gerking 93, Indianapolis, died Feb. 10, 2007. She was born in French Lick, IN to Harry and Grace (Stackhouse) Pruett. Her husband, Wincel (Bill) H. Gerking, preceded her in death. Evelyn was a homemaker, who loved sewing, oil painting, crocheting. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, a member of the International Dresser's Union, and the Castleton UMC. She is survived by children, Brenda (Don) Conner, Gary (Becky) Gerking; granddaughters, Rhonda Rippetoe, Kim Hazzard, Laura Gray and Marlene Hassell; step-granddaughter, Christina Delgado; step-grandson, Tim Tincher; six great-grandchildren; five step- great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. Feb. 13, 2007 in Legacy Funeral Alternatives at Memorial Park, where friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Castleton UMC Building Fund, 7160 Shadeland Station, Indianapolis, IN 46256.
