Richard C. Reinhart, 81, of Tiffin, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 4, 2005, at his residence.
On June 23, 1924, in Tiffin, Richard was born to Sylvester and Lavina (Werling) Reinhart. He married Helen E. Sorg, June 7, 1946, in St. Andrews Church in Liberty Township.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Robert C. (Barbara) Reinhart and Paul (Ruth) Reinhart both of Tiffin; a brother, Arthur (Stella) Reinhart of Tiffin; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister, Dorothy Zeiger, and a great-granddaughter, Mary Faber.
Mr. Reinhart served in the U.S. Army during WW II from 1943-1945. He belonged to the New Riegel American Legion Post 354, VFW Tiffin Post 2858, C.B.I. (China, Burma, India) Campaign Veterans and former member of the Holy Name Society. Richard worked at American Standard for more than 41 years, retiring in 1982.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Timothy Ferris officiating. A rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens where the New Riegel American Legion Post 354 will conduct military graveside services.
Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home.
