Obit Homer Sanner Jr., 82, and his loving wife of 60 years, Gertrude L. Wiltrout Sanner, 79, went together to be with the Lord in heaven forever. Homer passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at the family home. He was born April 24, 1924, in Mt. Braddock, a son of the late Homer Sr. and Jennie Adams Sanner. Prior to his retirement in 1989, Homer worked as a master mechanic for the Anchor Hocking Corp. Closure Division in South Connellsville for 48 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Breakneck Church of God. In addition to his parents, Homer was predeceased by two brothers, Willard and G.A. Sanner, and two sisters, Irene and Ruth Sanner. Gertrude passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at the family home. She was born May 4, 1927, in Wooddale, a daughter of the late Jesse A. and Hattie Kinneer Wiltrout. Gertrude was also a member of the Breakneck Church of God. She was a terrific cook, baker and candy maker, and enjoyed working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents, Gertrude was predeceased by five brothers, Kenneth, Earl, James, Howard and Lewis Wiltrout, and a sister, Frances May Karfelt. Left to cherish Homer and Gertrude's memories are their loving children, Ronald D. Sanner and his wife Marilynn, of Connellsville, and Kenneth E. Sanner and his wife Barbara, of Spring Mills; four loving grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Homer is also survived by a sister, Verna Frankhouser and her husband Henri, of Florida. Gertrude is also survived by two sisters, Ella Jean Hixson, of Bullskin Township, and Betty Krienbrook, of Connellsville, and a brother, Bob Wiltrout and wife Mary, of Scottdale. Relatives and friends will be received for both Homer and Gertrude from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where a funeral service for Homer and Gertrude will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Joseph Wingrove Jr. officiating. A committal service will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Homer and Gertrude will then be entombed together in the Sanctuary of Love Mausoleum in Green Ridge Memorial Park.
