DELBY KESTNER 1939 -2002 JOHNSON COUNTY Delby “Hardtimes” Kestner, 63, of Flat Gap, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville. Born June 23, 1939, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Roger and Ola Rowland Kestner. He was retired from Mountain Tire Company and a member of Concord Independent Church. Survivors include his wife, Alice Skaggs Kestner of Flat Gap; three sons, Cody Kestner at home, Timmy Powers ofPaintsville and Terry Parrot of Florida; a daughter, Tammy Mullins of Ashland; five brothers, Roger Lee Kestner of Sitka, Arville Kestner of Paintsville, Larry Kestner of Salyersville, Paul Kestner of Tennessee and Bobby Kestner of Michigan; six sisters, Janetta Kestner and Jamie Wiley, both of Paintsville, Mary Kestner and Nancy Kestner, both of Sitka, and Joyce Dennison, Donna Estep, and Judy Eslinger, all of Boons Camp; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 14, at Concord Independent Baptist Church with Revs. Edgel Golden and Steve Rose officiating. Burial was in Estep Cemetery, Volga, under direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
