Notes for Elizabeth Martha Viot
Obit:
Betty Goodfellow, born to Martha and John Viot on January 5, 1926, passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2010. Betty married her high school sweetheart, Melvin Leslie Goodfellow, in 1946, later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Betty loved serving in the LDS church. She held many ward and stake callings, including serving many years in the primary organization. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. With her husband they made a comfortable home with friends and family always welcome. She loved music and enjoyed developing her own musical talents. She also loved her yard and worked diligently making it beautiful. Betty experienced many health challenges during the last few years of her earthly life and we appreciate the help of health care professionals and all the support received from many special friends and neighbors. Survived by her husband, Les Goodfellow; children, Peggy Morrow, John Goodfellow, Portland, Oregon, and Kathy Goodfellow; four grandchildren, Tara Mast, Justin Smith (Kristin), Mike Goodfellow (Brittney) and Jeff Goodfellow; nine great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Maynard Viot (Sidney), Las Vegas, Nevada. Even though we will miss Betty more than words can express, we know we will see her again and look forward to this reunion. Funeral services will be held at the Kenwood First Ward, 3080 South 1765 East, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Friends may attend a viewing on Wednesday, December 29 at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
