Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep February 7th, 2000 in West Valley City.Dorothy was born February 28, 1918 in Salt Lake City to John Mead Horton and Myrtle Green Horton. Dorothy married her life's true love, Clyde Kenneth Goodfellow, on August 9, 1938, which was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church having held several positions in Relief Society, Mutual, Primary and was a faithful visiting teacher for many years. Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Goodfellow (Susan), James Goodfellow (Jeannine); her only surviving brother, Don Horton (Betty); grandchildren, Keimberly, Brent, Richard and Jeffrey, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. She is preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; brother, Douglas; and sister, Virginia; and her first grandson, Mark Robert Goodfellow.God watched you suffer and knew that you had your share. We will always miss you and you will always be in our hearts, but now you are in a better place with no pain or sorrow. You have waited a long time to be back in Grandpa's loving arms and now you can be forever.The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the loving staff at Rocky Mountain Care.Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road, where friends and family may call Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
