The life story of Shirley Ann Berry (Goodfellow) She was born on October 4th 1941 to Elmer and Marion Goodfellow. She was the 5th of their 7 children. Her siblings are Jean, Marie, LeRoy, Joyce, Elaine and Jack. When she was a little girl her family suffered a terrible tragedy when her sister Joyce died from a horse riding accident. Her youngest brother Jack, would be the next sibling to pass away many years later from a stroke. After she graduated from High School she married to William E. Berry on September 11th 1959 in Seattle Wa. in her parents home. She became an Army Wife and spent the next 15 years traveling with her husband. On April 27th 1962 she had her first child Shelli May Berry (her spouse Jeff Johnson), in Sept of 63 she lost a baby girl, Sherry Elaine Berry at birth, then on January 9th 1965 she had her son David Charles Patrick Berry (his spouse Nancy Berry). She lived in many places while she was married. She went across the USA many times and had lived in Germany 3 different times. She and her husband divorced in 1975. She loved to dance and crochet and had started painting again, man she loved those paint by number kits...and she was good at it too. She worked at odd jobs until 1979 when she went to college to become a Barber. She loved her new profession and her customers loved her. She had a nice long career as a Barber and, even after retirement she would do hair cuts for family and friends. Shirley moved to Port Orchard and she fell in love with it. She lived in a tiny house by the water and loved to sit on her back porch watching the humming birds, and the squirrel and she enjoyed the beautiful scenery too. She was blessed with 7 Grandchildren, Deborah, Cliff, Elizabeth,Heather, Brian, Kimiko, and Lauren. Then she was doubley blessed with 8 Great Grandchildren, Cyrus, Lillian, Serenity, Jaxton, Raiden, Ilexis, Abel and Amelia. She loved us all so very much, and she will be missed by us all so very much.
