Mrs. Helen M. Francis, 82, of 12312 South Butler Rd., Savannah, died unexpectedly Sunday at her home. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee St., Clyde. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Francis was born in Rochester, NY, on August 9, 1924, the daughter of Earl and Madeline Brown Guyett. She served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and had lived in the Savannah area for the past 56 years. She was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church and had been involved with the Savannah Silver Stars and the Rose Oasis senior citizen clubs. Mrs. Francis received her master's degree in teaching from SUNY Oswego, and had last taught in the Weedsport School District. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1994. She is survived by two sons, William Francis of Angola, NY, and James (Georgianna) Francis of Macedon; four daughters, Helen Fleming of Rochester, Patricia (Mike) Kalish of Bloomfield, Debra Schoenfield of Boca Raton, FL, and Katherine Francis of Waterloo; her brother, Jack (Donna) Guyett of Knoxville, TN; her sisters, Shirley Parks and Ruth Milea, both of Liverpool, NY; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
