Mrs. Herbert Billings passed away at her home in the town of Russell Saturday March 9, after a period of declining health. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, the Rev. M. E. VanOrnum of the Methodist Church of Russell officiating. Bearers were Foster and Clifford Reed, Everett Mandigo, Benjamin Demmons, Kenneth Guyett and Maitland Coffee.

Mrs. Billings died at her home in the town of Russell Saturday. She had been in declining health for over a year and last October fell and sustained injuries which hastened her death.

Mrs. Billings was born Sept 21, 1876, a daughter of Henry and Josephine Martin Guyett of Crary Mills. She was married to Herbert Billings on Dec 27, 1893 at Crary Mills by Rev. Mr. Cole. Mr. and Mrs. Billings have lived for the past 24 years in the town of Russell on what is known as the Adam Mandigo farm.

Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Gerald Billings, Russell; Frank Billings, Gouverneur; and Burton Billings, Canton; four daughters, Mrs Blanch Walrath, DeKalb Junction; Mrs. Ruth Brabaw, Pyrites; Mrs. Marjorie Parow, Russell; and Dorothy Billings at home; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Guyett, Crary Mills, Mrs. Pearl Guyett Canton; Mrs. Gladys LeClair, Massillon Ohio; three brothers, Ernest and Gilbert Guyett, Canton; and Leland Guyett, DeKalb Junction, and her mother, Mrs. Josephine Guyett, Crary Mills.
