Mrs. A. Valley, Longtime City Resident, Dies

Mrs. Asma Valley, 84, Crookston Resident for 36 years, died Sunday at the Crookston rest home where she had resided for the past 12 years.

The former Asma Vaudrin was born July 14, 1885 at Gentilly.

Her husband, Albert died in 1932. Also preceding her in death were one son, one daugher, two sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include three sons, Paul and Lloyd of Crookston, Albert of Minneapolis; nine daughters, including Mrs. Sheldon (Lucille) Ahles, Mrs. Thomas (Jean) Koldingness, and Mrs. Chester (Blanch) Slager, all of Crookston; Mrs. John (Lea) Lindberg, Seattle; Mrs. Leonard (Dora) Isaacson, Minneapolis; Mrs. Ray (Genivieve) Kleven and Mrs. Milo (Martha) Chapel; both of Milwaukee; and Sister Rose Ann and Mrs. David (Terry) Johnson, both of Duluth.

Other survuvors include 31 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, a brother Eldage of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and a sister Mrs. Alfred Fontaine, Assinbois, Sask.

She was a memeber of St. Anne's Catholic Church where the funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. J. Warren Regnier officiation. Visitation will be at the Stenshoel Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon and evening beginning at 3 p.m. Vigil Prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.

Internment will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery in Gentilly.

Pallbearers for the funeral will include her grandsons, Bob Ahles, Gene Valley, Jerome and Harold Slager, Ralph Zainhofsky and Galen Isaacson.

Mrs. Valley was a member of St. Anne's Sodality.
