She is listed on her death certificate as Dorothy Gayle, no one knows why she is called Dorothy. She is listed in the funeral home records as Lena P. M. Collins. Her mother had remarried to John H. Collins in May 1910, and the informant on the death certificate is Mrs. E. Collins. She is listed in the 1900 census as Lena P. Trueblood, and her marriage license lists her as Lena M. Trueblood.

Lena married F.W. Gayle 16 March 1912 in Bridgeport, Texas. Tragically she committed suicide 3 years later at the very young age of 18.
