OBIT:Anna J. Frederick, 88, 304 South Pine, died Thursday at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. She was born March 31, 1889 at Ispheming, Michigan. She came to this area in 1905, after attending school at Hibbing, Minnesota. She worked for the Henry Kleinberg family for three years and she and Jacob Frederick were married in October 1908. They farmed in the West Side District. Mr. Frederick died June 10, 1966, and she moved to Ellensburg in 1969.She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid, Kittitas County CowBelles, Kittitas County Farm Bureau and was a charter member of the Women's Welcome Club.Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Corville) Sparks of Wallace, Idaho, and Ayleen (Mrs. Ed) Erickson of Bellevue; one sister, Nellie Swenson of Lake Park, Minnesota; a brother, Edward Lein of Iron Mountain, Michigan; six grandsons; and five great grandchildren.Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Evenson Chapel. The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate and burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church elevator fund or to the Kittitas County Historical Society.Ellensburg Daily Record, March 4, 1978
