Obituary
Mary GLENN MOORE, the youngest daughter of Elias and Anna GLENN, was born June 13th, 1855, and departed this life, February 26th, 1928, at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to Henry MOORE, on December 4th, 1870, who preceded her in death on May 23rd, 1926. To this union were born ten children, nine of whom are still living; Ben and Lee MOORE, of Nettleton, Arkansas; Omer MOORE of West Baden, John, Elisha, Clarence, Mrs. Della MOORE, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Zora VANTRESS, of Paoli, and Mrs. Martha GERKIN, of Gary, Ind. Mrs. Henry MOORE was united with the United Brethern church in 1890 and lived a consistent Christian life until her death. She was an invalid and suffered much pain during the last three years of her life, but she bore her trials with patience and grace. Mrs. MOORE was a kind and loving mother and a good neighbor. She leaves, besides her children and grand-children, Elias GLENN, of Valeene, Ind. [her brother], two sisters, Mrs. Harriett WOOD, of Ferdinand, Fla.; Mrs. Martha STARRETT, of Columbus, Kansas, another sister, Mrs. Maria HEIL, of Orleans, who preceded her in death on January 29th of this year; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Amanda TUELL, of Paoli and Mrs. Rebecca SPENCE of Illinois. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Ames Chapel, and she was laid to rest in the cemetery nearby, by the side of her companion.
