The Lake County Examiner & Lake County Tribune newspaper Thursday, March 8, 1949 Page Five ALBERT GERKING FUNERAL MONDAY Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Missionary Baptist church at Silver Lake for Albert James Gerking, long-time resident of that town who died February 26 at the age of 68 years, nine months and nine days. He was born May 17, 1880 at Susanville, Calif. Mr. Gerking was a resident of Silver Lake since 1902. On October 30, 1911 he was married to Miss Lola Deadmond, who survives. Also surviving are a son, James Gerking of Paisley and Mrs. Helen Lutz of Bend; and two grandchildren. The Ousley-Osterman mortuary of Lakeview directed the services, with Elder Carol Holliday of the Missionary Baptist church officiating. Interment was at Silver Lake. ~~
