Virginia V. Manza Virginia Manza was born on November 30, 1922 in Yakima, Washington to Richard Trueblood and Josephine Ranahan, and passed away on February 10, 2013 in Tacoma, Washington. Virginia graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma and worked for The Boeing Company during WWII in the parts department. She married Michael S. Manza on February 17, 1946, and resided in Lakewood where they raised eight children. She presided over many family feasts with great food and fine beverages. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, watching classic old movies, and listening to classical music, especially Italian Opera. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Michael S. Manza, and grandsons Errol Manza and Anthony Manza. She is survived by her children Christina (Jon) Hansen, Martina (Gary) Spehar, Michael Manza, Jr., Patrick (Judy) Manza, Rita (Bill) Forster, Guy Manza, Jeff (Debbie) Manza, and Monica (Kent) Reitmeier, 20 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchilren. .The family would like to thank the staff at Franke Tobey Jones for their loving care of our mother. Memorials may be made to Franke Tobey Jones in Virginia's memory. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 11:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
