She was born August 31, 1918 to Alex and Ernestine (Poirier) Bouchey in Toppenish. Our mom was a wonderful and loving caregiver. Besides raising her family of five children and two foster children, she was also the caregiver of her younger siblings. Mom married our dad, Phillip Patnode on May 6, 1938. They spent most of their married life in the Lower Valley. She was a hard worker and spent many years as a floor lady at various fruit warehouses. In the mid-60's, Mom discovered her talent for upholstery and drapery work. Her beautiful work is still accenting many homes in the area. Mom and Dad graced many a dance floor in the Yakima Valley. Dancing was one of her greatest joys in life. She also enjoyed ceramics, knitting and crocheting. She made all of her grandchildren a special afghan. Special memories include family vacations clam digging at Capalis Beach and a trip to Europe with her mother. Mom's final wish was to have all of her grandchildren attend her service. She will be greatly missed by our entire family.
