The 3rd child of Willard Benjamin Britain and Katherine "Kate" Cook Britain. Married Anna May Bashor June 2, 1917 at Pendleton, Oregon. They had a total of 10 children - 9 living to adulthood and were married 50 years.

Britain rites set

Funeral for Frank Jacob Britain, 79, will be Monday. Notice is in today's paper. Mr. Britain died Thursday in Pendleton. He resided at 607 SE 4th.

He was born July 13, 1889 in Fairbury, Neb., and came to Oregon in 1910 from Kansas. He married Anna May Bashor June 2, 1917, She died Sept. 14, 1967.

Mr. Britain was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of American Legion Post 23.

Survivors are five sons: Frank, Eugene and Jack, Pendleton; Charles, Hermiston and Virgil, Bend; four daughters: Marie M Wyatt, Lebanon; Ruth L Hoover, LaGrande; Edna M Peterson, Pendleton, and Patricia A Campbell, Portland; a brother, Lawson, Hutchinson, Kan.; 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Folsoms Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Wyatt, Lebanon, Ore., Ruth L. Hoover, La Grande, Ore, and Patricia A Campbell; Portland, Ore. Brother of Lawson Britain, Hutchinson, Kansas. Grandfather of 28 and Great-Grandfather of 5. Funeral services will be Monday, July 7, 1969 at 2pm FOLSOMS FUNERAL CHAPEL with the Rev. Dwight Townsend Methodist Church, Pendleton Officiating. Interment will be in Olney Cemetery. Folsoms Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements. Bearers: Delbert French, John Blanchet, William Futter, James Burns, William Futter, Jr. and Gordon Sprag.
