Notes for Thomas Albert Gerkin

Note
I suspect that Thomas Albert Gerkin(g) died sometime between the date of his WW1 draft registration (Sep 1918) and Jan 1920 because he is not to be found in either the 1920 or 1930 census. However, I have not requested a death certificate from the State of Indiana. As to their children, in 1930, Glen boarded in the home of Victor Edwards in Spice Valley Twp, Lawrence County, Indiana and Gracie lived with her mother and stepfather in Orleans, Orange County, Indiana. Thanks, Sid

Note
his WWI draft registration dtd 10 Sep 1918 at which time he was living in Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana. The registration does not indicate whether or not he was married at that time, however, he named as his nearest relative Mabel Sanders of Orleans, Orange County, Indiana. He was then employed as a bridge builder by the Vincennes Bridge Company. This record indicated that he was missing his right eye.
