!Note: Unknown Source has b abt 1786 Nelson, Kentucky

!Note: Will was written 10 Sep 1849 and probated 22 Sep 1849, Head stone has
died 1849.. In news paper article has that Lewis Goodwin traveled from
California to Indinia in 1854 just be for his father died. I believe this is
incorrect and he went back just before his step-mother died in 1855.

17 May 1953 newspaper has Abner being married on 10 Mar 1812.

Goodwine, Abner 1824 Abner Goodwine of Putnam Co. IN to Noah Bridwell of Spencer Co. KY - $465.00 in silver for land on Salt River in Spencer Co. bordering the north side of John Goodwin's plantation. Wits: Elias Goodwine, Fielding Dawson and Charles (X) Douglass written 20 Jul 1824. Recorded 4 Dec 1824 [Spencer Co. Deed Bk A p. 75]

Abner Goodwin gave the land for Vermillion Cemetery to the church. From his will:
"I, Abner Goodwin of Owen County, State of Indiana ... direct that my body be decently buried by the side of my first wife ... There is one acre of land that I gave to the Baptist Church in Putnam County for a public burying ground to be used for that purpose by the people."
